Movement guidance

  1. Preparation

Prepare knee padding and check comfortable Half Lotus placement.

  2. Understanding the movement

This balance supports the upright torso on one folded knee and the opposite foot.

  3. Hold and breathe

Do not twist the knee to place the foot in Half Lotus. Keep breathing comfortably without holding your breath.

  4. Exit and next movement

Learn how to reduce knee pressure and unfold Half Lotus in person.

Easier variations and preparation

Check the basic form and preparations with a teacher; do not force binds, inversions, or deep backbends.
