Cow Face Pose
Gomukhasana

Go means cow; mukha means face.
Movement guidance
Preparation
Check the knees and shoulders separately. Sit on a cushion if needed.
Entry and alignment
Fold the legs so the knees approach a stack. Reach one arm up and the other behind the back.
Hold and breathe
Do not force the knees into a stack or pull the hands together. Keep breathing comfortably without holding your breath.
Exit and next movement
Release the hands first, then support and unfold the upper leg.
Variations and sequence transitions

Gomukhasana A · Hands beneath the knee
Cross the legs with feet beneath opposite hips and join the hands under the upper knee. Do not twist the knees to adjust sitting height.
Gomukhasana B · Hands behind the back
