Movement guidance
Preparation
Check the suitability of chin and upper-body support with a teacher.
Understanding the movement
This inverted backbend brings the legs high above the body from lying face down.
Hold and breathe
Its advanced support differs from a low leg lift in basic Locust. Keep breathing comfortably without holding your breath.
Exit and next movement
Learn how to return the legs while managing neck pressure in person.
Easier variations and preparation
Check the basic form and preparations with a teacher; do not force binds, inversions, or deep backbends.
This advanced variation requires support and range of motion. Check preparation and exit with a teacher when first learning.
