About YogaFold

Learn how YogaFold helps you explore poses, understand their variations, and build a personal practice.

Effective and updated:

A yoga catalog in your hand

YogaFold is a web catalog for exploring yoga pose names, shapes, meanings, and movement guidance, then arranging them into a personal sequence. Created by HJC, it presents the same poses and images in Korean and English.

The catalog currently contains 160 poses and 57 related variations. Categories and difficulty refer to the photographed form; your experience may differ according to your body and practice history.

From finding a pose to keeping a record

Search by plain-alphabet, Sanskrit, or Korean names and descriptions, and filter by category or difficulty. Details cover preparation, entry and alignment, holding and breathing, exit, and easier variations.

Save favorites and notes, arrange pose order, sides, and holding times, and share or print sequences as images, files, or links. Study mode helps you review pose names.

About the content

Names and descriptions are compiled by comparing public yoga education resources and pose references, distinguishing preparation, exit, and differences in the pictured variation. Sources include Ashtanga and other public education materials; YogaFold is not an official service of a yoga school.

Pose images and descriptions are provided as learning references. They do not establish a universal alignment standard, and descriptions or translations may contain errors.

Traditional names and forms vary between schools, so read the description together with the image. The closing smiling-face entry is an original YogaFold creation, not a traditional asana. Please report errors with the pose name and suggested correction through the contact page.

Practice within your range

This service provides general learning and reference material, not individual diagnosis, treatment, or in-person teaching. Learn preparation and exit with a teacher for complex inversions, deep backbends, and Lotus binds rather than attempting them from an image alone. Read the app’s practice guidance as well.

Your records stay in your browser

Notes, favorites, sequences, and study records are stored in your browser. There is no account registration or server synchronization for these records. Keep important records in a backup file. The privacy policy separately explains analytics, the visit counter, and contact email.
